Background

EOL IT Services was formerly known as End-O-Line Services Ltd. When the company was formed in 1996 their main business was IT asset recycling and, as awareness for data security developed, they established themselves as one of the UK's leading independent companies in the field of data erasure. The company began to take on a more rounded IT managed services role and decided that their name no longer accurately described the work they did and so, EOL IT Services Ltd was born.

• Raising customer awareness about the actions that could be taken to reduce carbon emissions resulting from the use of products and services.

• The company replaced all the light bulbs with low energy bulbs: all future purchases to be low energy bulbs.

• Planned additional heating in the factory: using heat lamps that heat the body rather than the air ilo normal gas or oil heating;

• Replaced the central heating thermostat with a 7 day week programmer: rather than a 24 hour unit which was always left on during weekends!
