GENERAL INFORMATION
The North West of England region comprises five vibrant and diverse counties: Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside. The key metropolitan centres are Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Lancaster and Carlisle.
The region is home to 6.7 million people, making it the largest outside of London and the South East. Despite being a largely rural area, the majority of the population live in urban centres; primarily Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

National Federation of Enterprise Agencies North West:
NFEA is a network of independent, not for profit, Local Enterprise Agencies and similar organisations committed to responding to the needs of small and growing businesses by providing a range of appropriate quality services. In particular, but not exclusively, our members target pre-start, start-up and micro businesses and assist in building their ability to survive, sustain themselves and grow.
