GENERAL INFORMATION

More than five million people live in the West Midlands - a region at the heart of the UK. It comprises the counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire and the cities of Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton. It also includes the metropolitan boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull and Walsall.

Advantage West Midlands Website:

Advantage West Midlands is the Regional Development Agency (RDA) for the West Midlands. We are one of nine RDAs in England that were established to transform the English regions through sustainable economic development. Their role is to lead the economic development of the West Midlands, working alongside a wide range of public, private and voluntary sectors partners to help the region to prosper - building upon many strengths and addressing their unique challenges.

Groundwork West Midlands:

Groundwork supports communities in need, working with partners to help improve the quality of people’s lives, their prospects and potential and the places where they live, work and play.

National Federation of Enterprise Agencies West Midlands:

NFEA is a network of independent, not for profit, Local Enterprise Agencies and similar organisations committed to responding to the needs of small and growing businesses by providing a range of appropriate quality services. In particular, but not exclusively, our members target pre-start, start-up and micro businesses and assist in building their ability to survive, sustain themselves and grow.

Coventry LEGI:

Coventry's Local Enterprise Growth Initiative, or LEGI for short, is an exciting and flexible new initiative providing a wide range of support services to help you start your own business, assist an existing business or help you move into work.

Women's Business Development Agency:

The Women’s Business Development Agency was set up in 1990 in Coventry and Warwickshire to promote, support and develop female-run businesses and to help women into work.

 

Coventry and Warwickshire Co-operative Development Agency:

Coventry and Warwickshire Co-operative Development Agency is a multi-disciplinary, not-for-profit organisation that aims to enable people to take a full part in economic life.
