Volunteering research seeks views of SMEs.
There are currently around 15 million people in employment in England, most of whom work for small businesses. But many of these employees are not volunteering. Volunteering England believes that volunteering positively changes society, helps build healthy communities and is the lifeblood of democracy. Volunteering England, the national strategic volunteering development agency, would like to engage with small businesses. Many businesses are now encouraging their employees to volunteer. Volunteering England would like to determine how they could best support small businesses so that volunteering is taken up by more employees.
But we need your help. Volunteering England has commissioned Ashridge to undertake some research to see how Volunteering England could best take this work forward, and this questionnaire is part of that process. Thinking about volunteering in your organisation, please can you complete the following questionnaire. Your opinion is valued, whether or not your company is currently involved with volunteering. There are 9 main questions. It should take no more than 10 minutes and your answers will remain confidential.
Ashridge runs a prestigious three day training programme for companies on how to run a community investment programme. More information about this programme is available at http://www.ashridge.com/mcci. To say thank you for participating in this research, Ashridge is running a prize draw of one free place. If you would like to be included in this please return your name and contact details at the end of the survey - this data will only be used for the draw.
